Scatter shooting while thinking about the wonder and
work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. Too many
times He has been relegated to emotions or “warm fuzzies.”
The Holy Spirit of the living God is the deepest work in
the life of a man. Emotions are the shallowest part of man.
I
like what Adrian Rogers said. “God doesn’t do His deepest
work in the shallowest part.”
The good news of the gospel and the work of the
Holy Spirit is that when a man comes to Jesus and is
born again, God’s Spirit moves in to do the regeneration
of that man.
Paul told the Romans 8 that if anyone does not have
the spirit of Christ. He does not belong to Him.
The Bible teaches us the work of the Holy Spirit is to
adopt, baptize, convict, convert, cleanse, deliver, empower,
endow, guide, illuminate, indwell, justify, produce fruit,
regenerate, sanctify, seals and secure.
The evidence of the fulness of His presence is found in
Galatians 5.22. The issue isn’t is He present in me but rather
is He free to do His work in me. For the born-again follower
of Jesus it’s not a question of do I have Him. The question is
does He have all of me.
